My Travels was born as a line of accessories inspired by the symbolic monuments of important cities of art, as original elements of memory of places visited on trips actually experienced or just imagined. In the suitcase of memories, these accessories mix like fragments of emotions experienced over time or like pieces of a single great ideal city.
Today, central elements of the MyTravels Florence brand are the artistic creations by Daniele Calamandrei, through the inlay of colored fragments or with other processing techniques. They give life to unique pieces, like real art objects to use or wear, whether they represent an unusual reading of cherished places or whether they are inspired by important works of modern art, or whether they offer interpretations or representations of current issues or specific decorative themes.

Handcrafted eco-leather bag with handle and shoulder strap, decorated from the collection "Camouflaged For Peace", with dimensions of 41 cm (L) x 39 cm (H) x 17 cm (D).
In the military field, camouflage is characterized by a set of shapes and colors designed to blend in with the environment and thus escape the enemy's eye. In this inlay decoration the shapes are enhanced by the colors of the iris, symbols of peace. They are not invisible. Indeed, they stand out, as if wanting to demand attention for an urgent and necessary dialogue, ideally facilitated by those personalities who emerge in the background. As if camouflaged in their institutional role, they worked to create bridges of peace between the West and the third world (Gandhi, Mother Teresa) or the Soviet empire (Gorbachev) or in the warm heart of the Middle East (Arafat, Perez). Heroes, as evidenced by the Nobel Peace Prize they were awarded, who we miss today.
